Snow is falling quite heavily in the Wicklow Uplands with road conditions reported to be extremely challenging in places.

Please drive with caution and avoid unnecessary travel. Untreated road surfaces will most likely have snow with underlying ice in places once this evening’s sub zero temperatures arrive.

With freezing conditions forecast to last for several days, further notifications may follow.
