The communities of Wicklow, Ashford and Rathnew were both shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden death of popular postman Nicky Quinn.
Wicklow town man Nicky served on the postal route in Rathnew for many years before being transferred to the Knockadreet route covering Ashford and surrounding areas.
Work colleagues were stunned to learn of his death and described him as the nicest person you would ever meet.
Funeral arrangements
Nicholas will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk in Wicklow Town from 6 until 8pm on Thursday. Funeral arriving to the family home on Friday morning at 9.20am and then proceeding at walking pace to St Patrick’s Church via St Laurence’s Road and Market Square to arrive at 9.50am for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.
