St. Saviour’s National School Rathdrum Co. Wicklow have been selected as one of the 6 finalists across Ireland for an award for Biodiversity in schools.
They are the only representative from Co Wicklow. The Irish Wildlife Trust allocate the award for leading together through education for biodiversity.
The entry detailed all the Green School work in the school ie. protecting animal habitats – bat boxes, hedgehog habitats, butterfly garden, bug hotel/ litter duty/ recycling/conserving energy and their woodland project.
