Brittas Bay National School Thanks the Community

Despite stormy weather and the biting cold of the Wicklow Christmas Market on 8th and 9th December, the parents and staff of Brittas Bay National School wrapped up to brave the elements to raise much needed funds to assist the school to buy IT infrastructure.

The school wishes to thank the students, parents, and staff who so generously gave up their time to bake goods, make wreaths and yule logs, and those who volunteered to man the stall and do bucket collections.

The school is also very grateful to all those who supported the fundraising efforts by buying the produce and contributed to the bucket collection.

Commenting on the success of the event, Eileen Byrne, Principal of the school said, “The vision of the Brittas Bay National school is to promote and develop an environment where each child will be given equal opportunity to develop his/her full potential, through an enjoyable experience of learning. The fundraising efforts at the Christmas Market is a real reminder of what a fantastic community and school spirit we have at Brittas Bay National School. We’re so thrilled to be able to put these funds towards fulfilling that vision and providing much needed IT equipment to give our students a well-rounded classroom experience.”
