Date set for Arklow Music Festival’s 50th anniversary volunteer meeting

A date has been set for Arklow Music Festival’s volunteer meeting as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.

The committee will meet in the Bridge Hotel in Arklow town on the 25th of February at 8pm to discuss this year’s festival.

Those interested in helping with festival, on what looks set to be its busiest year yet, are recommended to attend the meeting.

Arklow Music Festival are also looking for old photographs or memorabilia you think might be of importance, which could be placed on exhibit at the Arklow Library.

Each year they celebrate local talent, giving individuals the chance to showcase their skills, while being judged and given feedback by professional adjudicators.

After a total of nine days in a variety of venues, the festival’s overall winner receives the €500 Wadden Bursary Award.
