Diamond ring up for grabs in Lakers Sports & Recreation Club’s raffle

By Alex Doyle

Special needs charity Lakers are giving away a diamond ring in a raffle which will help them recover from a fire that destroyed their club house last year.

The Love Lakers: Diamond Ring Raffle will see one lucky winner receive a beautiful 18ct white gold ring, donated by Patrick O’Kelly Jewellers in Bray and worth €685.

A second winner will get their hands on a €200 gift voucher for Facial Treatments at DermaGlo.

Tickets for the raffle cost €10 and the draw will take place on June 6, with more prizes to be announced.

“Lakers are getting back on their feet and now have temporary residence at the Old School House on Elington Road, thanks to a fantastic community response, but we still need support to replace equipment, continue business as usual, and support local families,” a spokesperson for the club said.

Lakers Sports and Recreational Club supports over 400 members with special needs, aged between 4-75 years old.

Their seven-days-a-week service provides activities such as football, skiing, cooking, art, pottery and swimming.
