Quiz Results
Baltinglass Credit Union recently held their Annual Credit Union School Quiz & what a turn out it was! 136 Students battled it out for 2 hours in a thrilling search to crown ‘The power of 4’ Credit Union School Quiz champions. The winning team in the U-11 age group was Scoil Diarmada, Castledermot while Scoil Nioclais Naofa, Dunlavin and Scoil Naomh Iosaf, Baltinglass received runner-up prizes. In the U-13 age group, Scoil Diarmada received 1st place, while Scoil Naomh Iosaf & Tinahely N.S. received runner-up. A huge congratulations to all teams.
Culture Bus
The culture bus will leave Dunlavin at 11am on Saturday February 23rd 2019 to travel to Dublin. Some tickets are still available for The Cripple of Inishmann in the Gaiety Theatre. CALL FOR PAPERS
This year, 2019, is to be another West Wicklow Historical Society Journal year, and we hope to publish issue 10 sometime in the autumn DV. As you may already know, our journal also accepts articles regarding neighbouring parts of counties Kildare, Carlow and Dublin, particularly if the subject matter impinges into West Wicklow.
If you would like to contribute a paper, have students who might like to submit a suitable essay or know of anyone who would like to contribute an article, please let us know. A Positive Parenting Programme – will take place in Seomra (Imaal Hall), commencing on Wednesday, February 27th from 7pm – 8:30pm. This programme is a practical and positive course for parents of children aged 5-12 years and will run for 6 weeks. Further details are available on the Church notice board.

Dunlavin Festival of Arts
The 2019 Festival of Arts will take place on June 21st, 22nd and 23rd inclusive. For any details contact 0879693960. Next meeting on Saturday February 16th at 12noon in Rathsallagh Golf Club. The committee would welcome new volunteers with new ideas.
Scoil Niocláis Naofa – Applications are now being accepted for enrolment to our Junior Infants class for this coming September. Applications can be made online via our school website www.snndunlavin.com but a full enrolment form will need to be completed and these forms are available from the office. Any parents wishing to visit the school or who may have enquiries are more than welcome to drop in at any stage in the coming weeks and no appointment is required.
