Motorists are being urged to use extreme caution this morning while driving in snowy conditions, villages such as Roundwood, Knockananna and upland areas have seen heavy falls of snow during the night.
The Sally Gap and the Wicklow Gap are closed to traffic, and Gardai have urged motorists to keep away.
The coastal half of Wicklow is clear of any snow.
The Status Yellow Snow-Ice warning remains in place until Sunday.
