Wicklow fire services are attending a gorse fire on the hill above the village of Hollywood.
Crews from 6 fire stations including Dublin are fighting the blaze.
A number of homes were under threat during the height of the fire.
Fires have also been reported in Ballyknocken and Lacken.
Flames could be seen from Kildare town, Bray and Baltinglass, it is not known how the fire started.
