Dunlavin notes week March 4th

New Enterprises

Local shopkeeper, John O’Keeffe, has thrown a lifeline to the community of Donard/Glen. In an effort to bring about a positive outcome to the closure of Donard Post Office he has afforded   an opportunity to Kildare and West Wicklow Crafters to showcase a variety of 22 beautiful and colourful crafts. Besides being a celebration of talent, The Craft Corner, along with The Village Barber, Susan Toomey, who will wield her scissors to the delight of the male members of our community, will continue to make O’Keeffe’s Shop a meeting place for locals and the social hub of Donard

Already there is a great buzz about the place and with the coming of the holiday season it will provide a focal point for the village.

The official launch of both enterprises will take place on Sunday next, 3rd. March at 2pm at the shop and we wish them every success.
