Heavy rain is forecast following a Status Yellow Rainfall warning.
The warning which was issued this morning will come into effect from 3pm today.
TODAY – TUESDAY 5TH MARCH
Dry and bright in most areas at first with some sunshine and a few isolated showers. Cloud will increase during the afternoon with rain spreading from the south, turning heavy in places by evening. Moderate to fresh and gusty southwest winds, will decrease light to moderate and back south to south-east. Maximum temperature 10 or 11 degrees.
TONIGHT – TUESDAY 5TH MARCH
Rain will be heavy and persistent for a time tonight, with spot flooding possible. The rain will ease off later in the night, but it will remain rather cloudy. Moderate to fresh and gusty easterly winds will ease, and become mainly west or north-west by morning. Minimum temperature of 3 or 4 degrees.
TOMORROW – WEDNESDAY 6TH MARCH
Tomorrow, Wednesday will start cloudy with some light rain or drizzle in places, but it will brighten up in the afternoon, with sunny spells and just the odd shower. Top temperature of 9 or 10 degrees in moderate to fresh west to north-west winds.
