Motorists urged to use caution as flooding reported around the county

Motorists are being urged to drive with caution as flooding is reported around the county.

The Status Yellow Rain warning remains in place until 6am Wednesday morning.

Road conditions in all areas including Avoca, Arklow, Aughrim, Kilmacanogue, Newtown, Greystones and the Woodenbridge have been described as dangerous.

The AA are also reminding drivers that wet roads mean longer stopping distances, so slow down in affected areas and keep well back from the vehicle in front.
