Motorists warned of frost on roads

Motorists are being warned to drive with caution this morning as frosty road conditions are being reported throughout the county.

Snow fell on higher ground during the night, which has made driving difficult. Slow down on slippery roads and allow plenty of extra room to brake.

Mainly dry and bright at first today, apart from a few residual overnight showers, with frost and icy patches clearing. Becoming cloudier as the day goes on, with a band of persistent and occasionally heavy rain moving in from the west through the later afternoon and evening in strengthening southerly winds. Afternoon highs of 7 to 10 degrees.
