Representatives from Wicklow County Council will attend a public meeting on Thursday 28th March 8pm in the Parish hall to facilitate a discussion on potential projects within the Roundwood Community eligible for the Town and Village Renewal Scheme – If you have any suggestions / ideas on how we can further improve our great community please come along. The Roundwood and District Community Council are organising a Parish wide clean up this year on the 6th of April. Wicklow Community Games Cross Country will be held in Avondale on Sunday 31st March, assembling at 10.30a.m Races over the following distances Under 6: 200m, Under 8: 300m, Under 10: 400m, Under 12: 600m, Under 13: 1200m, Under 14: 800m, Under16: 1600m & Marathon 2km . MURAL ART PROJECT
Roundwood and District Community Council with the support of Kildare Wicklow Education Training Board are running an 8 week mural art project for adults in Roundwood starting in late March. The Shed continues every Tuesday between 10 and 12 in our Shed within a Shed at Pat Carr’s place in Knockraheen. The topics are wide and varied and we continue to participate in a growing list of activities.
The Wicklow Man will play in Moneystown Community Cnetre on Friday 5th April from 9.30pm until 12 midnight. Teas served, refreshments also available. Come along and enjoy a night of waltzing, jive, linedancing etc.

Our weekly set dancing sessions continue in Kavanagh’s Lounge with the O’Kane family returning for the month of March. All are always welcome – whether you have ever or never danced before…. Session starts at 8.30 til 10.30 and cost is still only €5 for a good night of exercise.

CoderDojo Roundwood are looking for any unwanted laptops for use in our local Dojo (computer club). Any laptops donated, no matter what make or age, will be wiped clean of any data thereon and will be reprogrammed to allow children who may not have access to a laptop learn a new skill in this fun environment. CoderDojo is a global volunteer led community of free programming clubs for young people. Young people learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and explore technology.
