WETNS is celebrating its annual in-school Culture Week from March 4th with an even bigger and better timetable of events. With over 40 counties represented by the school community, this year’s events include language classes, multi-lingual story time, quizzes, dance and games, as well as an International Fair incorporating stalls with food, clothing and country-specific objects on Thursday, 7th.
“We are delighted that representatives from many of the embassies of the 40 countries’ of our school community will visit the School during the International Fair on Thursday”, says Alan Bedford, teacher.
“RTE News2Day are also planning on reporting on this year’s Culture Week, and our pupils are ready to showcase the art, music and cross-curricular project work they have been undertaking on the different cultures and countries”, says Sinéad Watson, school principal.
