Carnew notes week April 15th

Carnew GAA lotto was not won, numbers were 1,3 19,24, lucky dips were Irene Bolger c/o Thomas Collins. Mary Austin, c/o Jimmy Barnes. Pa and Maire c/o James Doran. Cathrine Osborne. The next draw was 15th April and the jackpot was €4,600.


The following are the walks for Tinahely walking club  April 21: No walk

April 28: Lobawn – Little Sugarloaf. Level B, 14km, 3.5 hrs. Meet Tinahely 10am.

As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food & drink.


The Back Alley Development AGM will take place on Wednesday 24th April at 8pm in Carnew Training and Development Centre. New members are needed to come and join the committee for further development and continued success of our fabulous play ground.

Carnew Community Care.  Tuesdays, 10am to 11am.
This is a gentle exercise class for seniors aiming to improve flexibility, strength and mobility.  Chair yoga can also help promote balance, co-ordination and improve overall health and well-being.  €8 per class. Carnew Community Care.  Tuesdays 11.15am to 12.15pm.
This class comprises of gentle yoga stretching movements synchronised with the breath which promotes mindful awareness and reduces stress.  The pace is gentle and postures are modified. Gentle yoga increases flexibility and strengthens muscles and bones while improving posture. €8 per class.

Carnew walking club meet every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7.30pm in Carnew GAAPitch and walk around the pitch, all welcome.
