Wicklow County Council open Book of Condolences

Wicklow County Council has opened an online Book of Condolence for people who wish to express their sympathy to family, partner and friends in Memory of Ms Lyra McKee.

Members of the public are invited to sign the Book of condolence on line at https://www.wicklow.ie/Living/Your-Council/Customer-Care/Books-of-Condolence, and once closed, the Book will be delivered to Ms McKee’s partner and family.

A second online Book of Condolence has been opened in memory of the victims of the Easter Sunday attacks in Sri Lanka.  Once closed the book will be delivered to the Sri Lankan Embassy in Dublin.

The Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, Cllr Pat Vance, extends his deepest sympathy on the tragic loss of Ms McKee and also to the people of Sri Lanka at this time.

Mr Frank Curran, Chief Executive, said: “By opening the Books of Condolence, Wicklow County Council is giving the people of County Wicklow the opportunity to express their heartfelt sympathy to both communities on the tragic and meaningless loss of life.”
