A search operation involving the Dublin/Wicklow mountain rescue and the Garda was launched after the man failed to return home.
The man’s body was discovered in a field at Ballinacor Estate at around 8am on Sunday morning.
Councillor Pat Kennedy who lives in the area said “ It’s a very tragic accident, my condolences go out to the man’s family at this sad time, I would like also to praise the work of the Emergency services and the mountain rescue.
It is understood the man is from the North Dublin area.
