Annacurra GAA sends it’s sincerest condolences to our players Ian, Paul & Brian McDonald and all their family on the passing of their mother Sheila. May she rest in peace.
Last Weekend we remembered Ciaran Shannon. We lost Ciaran ten years ago and so we hosted a 7 a side tournament. We had a fantastic day and everyone enjoyed it. We thank Toronto Gaels, Coolerra Strandhill, and a team of former County stars for making such an effort to attend. We also thank Aughrim, Ballymanus and Tinahely.
The tournament was won by the Annacurra team captained by Liam Moules.

Community Games
It’s been a busy few weeks. The area held their athletic finals last Monday and Long puck and ball throw last Thursday. We had a great turnout with all winners now through to Wicklow finals in Shillelagh on Saturday June 15th. Training continues every Monday with a possible extra night for relays. Coaches will talk to children about that.
Aldi National Community Games Festival. The first Festival weekend takes place next Saturday and Sunday in UL Limerick and we are represented by 10 children participating in cross country. Mixed distance and handwriting. We would like to wish them all the best and to enjoy the experience.
U11 and U14 Tag Rugby is continuing every week under the guidance of Barney Hynes and we hope to Uber teams taking part in Leinster in June.
