Family Fun Run/Walk

Aughrim GAA and Luke O Toole’s U14 Feile teams are holding a family fun run/walk on Sunday May 19th at 4pm along the beautiful Ciaran Shannon walk. It starts and finishes at the Aughrim sports complex where there will be refreshments served after. Entry fee is adults €5 and children €3. All support for this great bunch of lads will be very much appreciated.

Yoga Classes with Yvonne (mixed level) 

New Wednesday Evening 6 wk course starting on May 1st. €60 for 6 week course in the Sports complex.
Classes continue on Monday Mornings 9.30-10.45am. Drop in rate €13.

Vintage Tractor & Car Run

Wicklow Vintage Club is holding their Annual Vintage Tractor & Car Run on Sunday May 12th. at 12 noon from St Kevin’s Hall Ballycoog. All are most welcome to attend and homemade refreshments will be served in the Hall afterwards.

Active Retirement

Our next yoga class will commence on May 14th for 3wks. €15 on the day in an envelope with your name please. Our Spa Day takes place on 23rd May. We are planning a day’s outing for 28th June to the Auberitum in Leighlim Bridge and a visit to The Royal Oak Distillery near by. Details at a future date.

Annual Charity Walk

The Annual Jimmy Cullen, 4A’s Hillwalking Club Sponsored Walk in aid of the Children of Chernoybl Foundation (Arklow Gorey Group) takes place on Sunday May 12th. There will be three walks, 10K, 5K and the Ciaran Shannon Route. Runners are most welcome.  Registration is €10 on the day and the event start will be at the Playground End of Annacurra Church Car Park.  Registration opens at 09:30 and event starts at 10 am.  Event is an unsupported one but all routes will be well marked.   Pre registration and sponsorship cards are available by contacting Jane Cullen on 087 2703498.

Annual Parish Sale

Castlemacadam Annual Parish Sale on Saturday May 18th at 2.00pm in The Hartin Hall, Cake Stall, Vegetable Stall, and many more please come along bring a friend and have a cup of tea and chat .  Many thanks Hazel.


The numbers: 6, 8, 14 and 16 were drawn in this weeks Aughrim Sports club lotto April 29th. The jackpot was not won. There were no match three winners. The jackpot is €2100.

County Fleadh

This year Anne Devlin CCE will host the Wicklow County Fleadh on this Saturday May 11th in the Sacred Heart National School Aughrim starting at 10am.This County Fleadh is a celebration of Traditional Music, Song, Dance and Comhrá Gaeilge, with competitions in all age groups, celebrating our national culture. Everyone is welcome to join us and enjoy the day, Admission at the Door.

Town & Country Market

A warm welcome to all at Aughrim Town & Country Market, Rednagh Road, every Saturday from 10am-2pm. Enjoy the buzz in the Pavilion Cafe as you catch up with friends over coffee and treats. Delicious brunches and light lunches are also on offer.  Fresh local produce available, including organic fruit and vegetables, locally produced meat, eggs, preserves and fresh home baked bread and cakes. GAA News
Our next adult match in the league is against Hollywood at home next Sunday morning 12th May. Please come along and support the lads.  Reminder of our coffee and cake morning fundraiser for Luke O’Tooles under 14 Feile Team on Friday May 10th in Murphy’s Hotel from 9.30 am – 1 p.m. Please come along for a cuppa and chat. The boys from Tinahely and Aughrim are representing their county at the all-Ireland Hurling Feile competition in Cork. All support is very much appreciated.
