SYMPATHY 
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Luke Byrne, Bolinrush who died during the week, his remains were removed to Askamore on Thursday for 2pm mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Congratulations to Toni Doran, Coolboy on winning an Award for her achievement in music in Waterford Institute of Technology . Well done Toni.
PATRON 
The annual patron in Askamore is on Sunday 2nd June, please bring home all rubbish, dead flowers and no dumping in the grave yard please.

We wish Pat Doran, Tomacork all the best in his retirement from politics and thank him for all his help and support in his time as councilor.

TINAHELY WALKING CLUB 
The following are the walks for the next two weeks for Tinahely walking club

May 19: Kyle Loop. Level B, 18km, 4.5hrs. Meet Tinahely GAA car park 10am.

May 26: Tonelagee & Scarr. Level A, 15km, 5hrs. Meet Tinahely 9.15am or Brockagh car park 10am.

As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food & drink.

The next bingo is on Sunday 19th May at 2.30pm in St Bridget’s Hall, Carnew, all welcome.

God bless all the children from Ballyellis National Scoil and Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew who made their First Holy Communion recently.

SPLIT THE POT 

The lucky winner of €228 in our Split the Pot draw of Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew was The Wafer Family Parkmore. Congratulations. The sellers prize was won by Donal Moore who won a €10 voucher for Victors and the lucky dip winner was Finnán Kinsella.

 Ballyellis National School “Split the Pot”

Friday 10th  May,  2019   winner of  “Split the Pot” is  Andi Killeen, Craanford –  winning €144.   We thank everyone for supporting “Split the Pot”. Envelopes can be obtained from the School or any Parent and from Ashling Walsh after weekend Mass in Askamore Church.. Draws will take place every Friday morning in Ballyellis School.

 

CARNEW HERITAGE CLUB 

Carnew Heritage club are holding a car, tractor and lorry run on Sunday June 2nd, registration from 4pm followed by BBQ and music in the field, all welcome.
