SYMPATHY 
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Edward (Ned) Molloy, New Line, Carnew who died during the week and was buried on Thursday in Tomacork cemetery.
To the family and relatives of George Dagge, Shillelagh who died during the week and was buried on Wednesday.
GAA LOTTO 
Carnew GAA lotto was won by Seamus Kelly, Bunclody winning €4,800, congratulations Seamus. Lucky dips were Mark Collins. Geraldine Keane, c/o Marion Kinsella. Adrian Myers. Darragh Doyle. The next draw is 13th May in Jim Byrne’s and the jackpot is €2,000.
TINAHELY WALKING CLUB 
The following are the walks for the next two weeks for Tinahely Walking club

May 12: Askamore. Level B, 12km, 3.5hrs. Meet Askamore 10am.

May 19: Kyle Loop. Level B, 18km, 4.5hrs. Meet Tinahely GAA car park 10am.

As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food & drink.

FEILE FUNDRAISER 

Kilrush Camogie Club will be hosting a bake sale on Monday, May 13th. We will also be doing a clothes collection on the same night. You can drop any unwanted clothes, bed linen shoes etc to the clubhouse prior to May 13th. Further information is on our Facebook page. The next bingo is on Sunday 19th May at 2.30pm in St Bridget’s Hall, Carnew, all welcome.

Why not become a Member of Carnew Day Care Centre where you can enjoy a nutritious dinner at a minimum cost daily Monday to Friday.

Activities vary from day to day e.g. rings, whist drive/card games, bingo, indoor bowls, knitting club, educational talks, arts and crafts etc.

CARNEW WALKING CLUB 
Carnew walking club meet every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7.30pm in Carnew GAAPitch and walk around the pitch, all welcome.
CARNEW HERITAGE CLUB 
Carnew Heritage club are holding a car, tractor and lorry run on Sunday 2nd June, registration from 4pm, followed by BBQ and music in the Heritage field.

       

Ballyellis National School “Split the Pot”

Friday 3rd May,  2019   winner of  “Split the Pot” is  the Kavanagh Family, Motabower –  winning €160.   We thank everyone for supporting “Split the Pot”. Envelopes can be obtained from the School or any Parent and from Ashling Walsh after weekend Mass in Askamore Church.. Draws will take place every Friday morning in Ballyellis School.

 

SCOIL AODAN NAOFA SPLIT THE POT

The lucky winner of €217 in our Split the Pot of Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew  was Raymond Byrne . Congratulations. 

The sellers prize was won by Rían Rooney who won a €10 voucher for Victors and the lucky dip winner was Kathleen Molloy.
