O’Brien urges everyone to register to vote by Tuesday’s deadline

Labour Party candidate Paul O’Brien for the Wicklow Municipal area has urged people to register to vote before the deadline, which is Tuesday May the 7th.

O’Brien said “It’s important that people exercise their democratic right to vote on the 24th of May”, but O’Brien did acknowledge that it is difficult for some people to find the time to register due to family and work commitments.

So to assist people O’Brien stated that he has booked a room in the De La Salle Pastoral Centre on Saturday the 4th of May so that people can register to vote.

He went on to say, “I’ll be there in the morning between 10.30am and 1pm with the forms for people to fill out along with a member of An Garda Síochána who will stamp the forms”.

This event is open to everyone that wants to register to vote. The De La Salle Pastoral Centre entrance is to the left of St Patrick’s Church in Wicklow town and is located where the old De La Salle secondary school use to be.
