Tidy Towns Friday Night ‘Freshin Up’

A big thank you to the 15 strong group who turned out on Friday night to lend a hand. Great progress was made as the old Tinakilly Bridge area was tidied. 18 bags of garden waste were gathered by young and old alike. On Thursday afternoon, a group a volunteers planted the containers on the bridge with flowers kindly sponsored by Woodfab.  On Sunday afternoon a group of ‘Junior Aughrim Tidy Towners’ met at the community field and litter picked along Jim’s Way and the Renagh Rd. Despite torrential rain 2 green sacks of rubbish were collected. Well done to all.  We are now in the official adjudication period and we appeal to everyone to keep their areas tidy. We will meet again this Friday evening at 7.00pm at the monument to continue to clean the town. Please bring along some tools and a friend as every little helps!!
