Body found on Kilcoole beach ‘not suspicious’

Gardai are not treating the discovery of a Man’s body on Kilcoole beach as suspicious.

The deceased was taken from the beach at around 6.30pm on Monday evening and transferred to Newcastle aerodrome, where he was pronounced dead.

The body was taken to Loughlinstown hospital.

The incident has been described as a personal tragedy.

It is understood the man was not local to the area.
