Venue: Carnew National School, Date: 29th July- 2 August 19, Age group: 4-12, Time: 9.30-12 (Art Camp) 12-1 (Activity Camp).  Art in the morning (Tile Painting, Clay Houses, Drawing, puppets and much more) Activity camp in the afternoon (Introduction to Tae-Kwon-Do, circuit training & lots more).  Join us for the Art Camp or Activity camp only or both.  Over 17yrs experience delivering Art Camps to the community & over 25years Tae-Kwon-Do experience.  Booking is essential Contact: Trish Murphy (087)6390370.

The lucky winner of €211 in our Split the Pot draw of Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew was Cathy Hipple. Congratulations. The sellers prize was won by Colin Lawrence who won a €10 voucher for Victors and the lucky dip winner was Sophie Twamley.

Ballyellis National School “Split the Pot”

Friday 14th  June  2019   winner of  “Split the Pot” is Flinn Kavanagh, Knockshaunfin, Ballyellis    –  winning €125.  We thank everyone for supporting “Split the Pot”. Envelopes can be obtained from the School or any Parent and from Ashling Walsh after weekend Mass in Askamore Church.. Draws will take place every Friday morning in Ballyellis School.



Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Din Doran, Croneyhorn who died during the week, his remains were removed to Carnew on Thursday for 3pm mass, followed by burial in Tomacork Cemetery.
To Caroline Kennedy, Kilcavan her family and relatives on the death of her mother Mary Moules, Aughrim who died during the week.
To the family and relatives of Bridie Daley, Kildare formerly Smith, Foxcover who died during the week.

Congratulations to the Carnew u14’s camogie club who won the Regional Feile in Ederney, Fermanagh last weekend, we’ll done to all involved.
Carnew and District Agricultural show will be held on Saturday 20th July in Umrigar by kind permission of the Kinsella and Stephens families.
Bi weda animal health are new sponsors of the All Ireland cheviot sheep championship for a pair of cheviot ewe lambs judged as a pair.

The following are the walks for Tinahely walking club
June 23: Art’s Plaque. Level B+, 15 km, 6 hrs. Meet Tinahely 9.45 am or Turlough Hill car park 10.45 am.

June 30: Annacurragh (Litter Pick walk with Pure Mile). Level B, 10 km, 3 hrs. Meet Tinahely 10 am or Annacurragh Church car park 10.15 am.

As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food & drink. Please check Tinahely Walking Club Facebook page for any changes to the scheduled walks.
