The Back Page Pub in Phibsborough, North Dublin, have paid tribute to Katie Taylor’s recent achievements in becoming the undisputed World Champion in the Female Lightweight division.
The former national sports bar of the year also features murals of the late RTE soccer presenter Bill O’Herlihy and former soccer pundit Eamon Dunphy’s famous “That Ronaldo fella is a cod” quote.
Emmalene Blake, who worked on a mural in Belfast dedicated to the murdered journalist Lyra McKee, was commissioned to paint the piece.
There have been calls for a statue of the Bray native to be erected in her home town in the garden county. An online petition has been created to convince Wicklow County Council to commission the project.
