Let your colours run free @ The Whale Theatre

The Whale Theatre in Greystones is hosting the world premiere of  “Let Your Colours Run Free”, a documentary story of TransGreystones – the first small town  peer support group in Ireland for transgender and non-binary people, on Thursday, July 18.

The film is a gentle exploration of the challenges faced by transand non-binary people in rural and suburban Ireland and how creative arts help their mental health.

It is an invitation to the wider community to develop a deeper understanding – to create acommunity where trans and non-binary people feel safe and respected – so they don’t feel that they must leave their homes and families to find a place they feel safe to express their true inner selves.

The film follows their journey led by founders, Sara, Sam and Simon, to forge links with other local community groups and share the members talents and inner-most thoughts through a public art exhibition.

Doors will open at 7pm, with the performance commencing at 8pm. Tickets are €10 each.

Tickets can be booked online at www.whaletheatre.ie or by calling the booking office on 01 2010550.
