The Trump administration paid a Wicklow based funeral firm over €830,000 for the hire of their luxury limousines for their brief visit to Ireland.
JP Ward & Sons funeral services were paid a total of €832,600 in four instalments ahead of US President Donald Trump’s visit to Ireland with his family.
According to USASpending.Gov, an official website that records federal government spending, the limos were booked for the dates between May 24 and June 22, likely due to President Trump not knowing the precise dates of his visit in advance.
The US Department of State did not respond to a request for comment by The Guardian.
