Wicklow County Council are holding a free Mattress disposal day to members of the public at four locations throughout the county in the coming weeks.
The Mattress Amnesty will be having it’s first day in Arklow on Saturday 22nd June at the Recycling Centre Car Park from 2-4pm.
Each household can bring a maximum of 3 mattresses on the day, however this is not open to commercial operators.
This is a great opportunity to dispose of mattresses for free as they are not easy have taken away.
It is to be noted that this amnesty is operated outside of the normal recycling Centre activities and the recycling Centre itself will not be accepting the mattresses.
In the following weeks the amnesty will be held in
Bray Recycling (June 29th 2-4pm)
Wicklow Recycling Centre ( 6th July 2-4pm)
Blessington Council Yard (July 13th 10am-12noon)
