Aaron Bolger has completed a permanent transfer from Shamrock Rovers to Cardiff City, the Airtricity League club has announced.
Bolger (19) makes the move having impressed on-loan with the Welsh club’s under-23s in the early months of 2019.
The Bray-born teenager initially left Shamrock Rovers for Cardiff back in February, having seen his first-team prospects restricted by the arrivals of the likes of Jack Byrne and Aaron McEneff.
Bolger joined Rovers in 2016 and made 16 academy appearances before making his senior debut at 16 years of age against Cork City in the FAI Cup.
He went on to make 36 competitive appearances for the Hoops, and has been capped for Ireland at under-16s, under-17s, and under-19s.
