The Committee and Staff of Carnew Community Care express their sincere thanks to all who helped and supported in any way, the Rings Tournament on the 5th July.
This event was a huge success and the total amount raised was €1405.00.
Good Luck at the National Finals – The Shillelagh Area Community Games Committee and all family and friends wish the following athletes all the best as they represent Wicklow at the National Finals 17th-18th August in Limerick: Luke Hilliard (U10 200m), Daniel Gregan (U12 Cycle on Grass 2000m), Emma Mulhall-Kinnear (U14 Long Jump), Freddie Murphy (U14 Shot-Putt), Yasmin Dagge (U14 Javelin), Eddie Cullen (U14 Javelin) and Roisin Houlihan (U16 200m).

Venue: Carnew National School, Date: 29th July- 2 August 19, Age group: 4-12, Time: 9.30-12 (Art Camp) 12-1 (Activity Camp). Art in the morning (Tile Painting, Clay Houses, Drawing, puppets and much more) Activity camp in the afternoon (Introduction to Tae-Kwon-Do, circuit training & lots more). Join us for the Art Camp or Activity camp only or both. Over 17yrs experience delivering Art Camps to the community & over 25years Tae-Kwon-Do experience. Carnew Emmets Juvenile Club: Our season has got off to a very busy start and the Championship is now commencing. We would like to wish all our players and mentors the very best of luck in their respective competitions.
Our Academy: (ages 4 – 6 boys & girls) is well up and running each Tuesday 7:15 to 8:00 p.m on the Astro pitch. We are open to new members, so if you would like to bring your child along and let them try it out your are more than welcome. We can guarantee fun and enjoyment and have a great team of Mentors and parents involved. If your child has a hurl n helmet, please bring them, if you don’t have a hurl or a helmet no problem we can provide one for the session as Damien Osborne and Centra, Carnew have kindly sponsored new helmets and sliotars for The Academy and sincere thanks to Damien & Centra for their generosity.
In May we commenced our Skills School and both boys and girls ages 7 to 13 meet up in the Sportsfield every 2nd Saturday 10:15 to 11:30 a.m to work on our hurling skills. We are joined each session by guest Coaches from our own senior hurling panel and County players as well. We greatly appreciate all the support this venture is getting and thank all the Players, Team Mentors and guest Coaches for their commitment to this project.
We intend to continue it into the future and if your child would like to join in the fun please come along to the next session on Saturday the 27th of July, 2019and sign up.
