Carnew notes week July 29th

PATRON

The Brideswell patron mass will take place on Wednesday 7th August at 7pm, all welcome.
The Kilrush patron is Sunday 4th August and Coolfancy is 4th August.
CABARET
The annual cabaret for Shillelagh parish will take place on Friday 2nd August at 9pm in Parview House Shillelagh with music by Jimmy Hogan and Lar Kenny, admission €5, all welcome.
CAR BOOT SALE
The Forest Gump group of the Hollywood comes to Askamore will hold a car boot sale on 5th August and other dates, good clean clothes, bric a brac and miscellaneous items are all welcome, collection points available, contact Breda on 0876357361.
SYMPATHY
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of John Wilson, Ballynultagh, Shillelagh who died during the week and was buried on Thursday.
To the family and relatives of Peter Doran, Wexford and formely of London and Killavaney who died during the week and was buried on Friday.

Pets Corner Tinahely Agricultural Show 2019 – Bank Holiday Monday

Many manner of pets can be entered, from farm animals to household pets. There are five categories including the newest and most unusual pet. So if you have something a little bit different, come and show all the other pet lovers your special friend.
People of all ages are encouraged to display their precious pets in this annual event. It’s only €3 to enter each cage with the chance to win great prizes.

The following are the walks for Tinahely walking club
Aug 4: Ballycumber Loop. Level B, 12 km, 3.5 hrs. Meet Tinahely 10.30 am.Aug 11:  Blackstairs – Killanure, Mt Leinster, Scullogue Gap. Level B, 13 km, 4 hrs. Meet Bunclody 10am.

As usual, please remember to wear proper walking boots, pack full rain gear and bring adequate food & drink. Please check Tinahely Walking Club Facebook page for any changes to the scheduled walks
