Sympathy is extended to the Grace Family on the death of their cousin Brendan. Brendan’s funeral took place in Dublin. May he rest in Peace.


RHSI Garden Show

RHSI Garden Show takes place in Russborough House on July 28th from 10am to 5pm. Attractions include Plant Stalls, Artisan Produce, Speaker Tent with Irish and International Horticulture and Gardening experts. GLDA design clinics , workshops, garden tour, Music by the wonderful Ballymore- Eustace Concert Band. Not to be missed. €10 . Concessions available. Book on eventbrite .ie.


Sports Day

Annual Donoughmore Fete and Sports, Bank holiday Monday 5th August starting at 1 pm.

The following are a list of events taking place at it :  Children’s  football, races, Bouncing Castle, Horse and Carriage competition, all the usual stalls, Kildare Crafters, Teas, mini auction, Monster raffle,

Free parking, Admission €3 children free.

Culture Bus

Rotary International Silliot Hill Bike Scheme

KCC are now working with Rotary International and the Prison Services to take old bikes, repair them and send them to Gambia so that schoolkids that have a journey of five km or more can get to school more easily.

We are looking for repairable bikes to be brought to Silliot Hill, Kilcullen,  where we have a designated container

Outreach Service

“There is a new domestic violence outreach service in West Wicklow provided by Saoirse Women’s refuge in Tallaght. We can offer confidential appointments providing support to women suffering from domestic violence in the community, including Court Accompaniment.

The drop in clinics areas follows: Every Monday 9:30am-11:30am Blessington Library, Every Wednesday afternoon 2:30pm-4:30pm Seomra Imaal Hall Dunlavin and Every Friday 9:30-11:30am The equestrian/The Lawlor centre Baltinglass. Call 085-2710378 for an Appointment.”



Dunlavin and District Forum are delighted to partner with Dunlavin Friendship Club in availing of a scheme being rolled out by Muintir na Tire.

This scheme allows for the provision of carbon monoxide alarms in houses that don’t already have them. Alarms will be provided and installed free of charge with a maximum of two per household.

This Muintir na Tire programme is aimed at persons who do not have existing alarms and do not have the resources to install alarms themselves. We would particularly invite those over 65 to avail of the scheme.

Healing Mandala – Always wanted to try your hand at painting a healing mandala? Now is your chance.
