Why is that plane flying so low over Arklow?

Wicklownews has received a number of messages today asking why is there a plane flying so low over South East Wicklow and North Wexford?

Well the answer is, it is a Survey Area Mapping plane.

The Tellus survey aircraft continues its 2019 flying season over south east Ireland (across counties Carlow, Wexford, Wicklow and neighbouring parts of south Kildare, south east Kilkenny and Waterford) from June until late autumn – weather permitting.
