Bowls Tournament
Aughrim Bowling Club will host an invitation bowls tournament in the Aughrim Sports complex on Monday and Tuesday next August 19th and 20th. Twenty four teams from Wicklow, Wexford, Carlow and Waterford will be competing over the two days. This is the second year that Aughrim has hosted this event and the bowling club are hopeful that this years event will be as successful and enjoyable as last year.
GAA News
Our adult hurling team play their first match in the Junior Hurling Championship next Wednesday night August 14th against Glenealy in Glenealy at 7.30.pm.We would like to wish the team the very best of luck as we make our return to championship hurling after an absence of 10 years. Please come along and give them all the support we can for this game.
Feast of the Assumption
There will be Mass in Church of the Sacred Heart for the Feast of the Assumption on Wednesday August 14th at 8.00.pm and on Thursday the August 15th at 10.30.am.

The numbers: 5, 8, 23 and 25 drawn in this week’s Aughrim Sports club lotto August 6th. Match three winners were: Billy Moules and Darragh O’Byrne, Ballymorris. The jackpot was not won. The jackpot is €24000. The weekly lotto supports Aughrim Camogie Club, Aughrim GAA club, Aughrim Rangers Soccer club and Aughrim sports complex. People who support the weekly lotto are lending support to the local sports clubs who are very much part of the community.
