Our adult Hurling and Football teams were in action last week in the championship and both came away undefeated.    First up was our Junior Hurlers who faced a tough assignment away to Glenealy in Glenealy last Wednesday night.  After falling behind early in the game we came back strongly and at halftime were behind 1-6 to 0-6.In the second half we up the ante and in a very close game we came out on top on a scoreline of 2-12 to 2-9 in favour of Aughrim.  Well done to all involved .We play Bray in the next round  at home Wednesday August 28th.    Our adult footballers faced Blessington in the championship last Saturday evening in Roundwood.  After a disastrous first half which saw us conceding three goals ,we trailed by five points at half time on a scoreline of 3-8 to 2-6 .A huge improvement in performance by all and some effective substitutions by the management team led to a great revival and the game finished all square at the final whistle on a scoreline of Aughrim 2-17 to Enniskerry 3-14. Our next game is against Shillelagh /Coolboy next Saturday at 4.45pm.The venue to be confirmed. Please come along and support.
