Sister Ann’s Mission to Haiti
Another successful year of fundraising has been completed. In July with the support and generosity of Louise, The Chair Yoga Group at Árus Lorcáin donated €305.50 cents.
Cora Jones from O’Domhaill Rua, Redcross ran a raffle which realized €500.
These events helped to swell the fund to €6,000. In turn €5,000 was donated by An Garda Síochána and since the presentation to Sister Ann another €1,000 was given privately. One couple also sponsored a child for one year in school. This year two houses will be built. Remaining funds will be used for schooling and other necessary needs.
During the last months so many hearts were lifted to action in the name of Christ bringing love, hope and life itself to the poor of Haiti and lightening Sisters load as she faces into a new year of work.
