Sympathy
Sympathy is extended to the Foley family on the death of their mother Bridget. She was predeceased by her husband Paddy and son Brian and loving mother of Adriene, Sharon, Aileen, Pat, Tom, Kevin, Declan, David, Derreck, Aidan and Ailus. Sadly missed by her sisters and brothers, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, cherished by her grandchildren, neighbours and friends. Funeral took place in Dunlavin on Saturday July 27th. May Bridget rest in peace.

He was predeceased by his son Tommy and daughter Christine. Sadly missed by his beloved wife Pat, sons Kevin, Paddy, John, Gary and Alan, daughters Mary and Eileen, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
Christy.s funeral took place in Dunlavin on Monday August 5th, 2019, may he rest in peace.

Kildare Steiner Secondary School: Something new and different in Secondary Education!
We are delighted to announce the commencement of first year of Kildare Steiner Secondary School on the grounds of Kildare Steiner School on September the 3rd 2019 led by a very experienced Steiner teacher Nikki Ellis who previously worked in Acorn Steiner School in England.
In June we hosted our first “Experience Day”, led by Nikki Ellis. The children taking part were from our existing school and mainstream schools. We plan to hold more such days in the future to enable students not familiar with our ethos to see how subjects can come to life!

International Silliot Hill Bike Scheme
KCC are now working with Rotary International and the Prison Services to take old bikes, repair them and send them to Gambia so that school kids that have a journey of five km or more can get to school more easily.
We are looking for repairable bikes to be brought to Silliot Hill, Kilcullen, where we have a designated container

“There is a new domestic violence outreach service in West Wicklow provided by Saoirse Women’s refuge in Tallaght. We can offer confidential appointments providing support to women suffering from domestic violence in the community, including Court Accompaniment. Alarms
Dunlavin and District Forum are delighted to partner with Dunlavin Friendship Club in availing of a scheme being rolled out by Muintir na Tire.
This scheme allows for the provision of carbon monoxide alarms in houses that don’t already have them. Alarms will be provided and installed free of charge with a maximum of two per household.
This Muintir na Tire programme is aimed at persons who do not have existing alarms and do not have the resources to install alarms themselves. We would particularly invite those over 65 to avail of the scheme.

Healing Mandala – Always wanted to try your hand at painting a healing mandala? Now is your chance.
