Annick Garnier Exhibition

We are delighted to be hosting French artist Garnier Annick at the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh on Sunday 8th of Sept in the Willow Room. Open from 9am to 4pm. Annick trained in Ecles de Beaux Arts Caen and  has been exhibiting in France since 1997 receiving various prestigious awards in Caen and Normandy .


Part-time Maintenance Person

St. Kevin’s Parish is seeking someone to work on a Community Employment scheme (applicants must be in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment). Duties will include grass cutting and general maintenance of the church and parochial house grounds. For further information, please phone Marie in the parish office on 0404-45777.


Tidy Towns

Area Clean-up

Our next clean-up evening will be on Tuesday 3rd September. We meet outside Lynhams at 7 pm. We would like to thank all those who gave up their time this summer to keep our village clean and maintained. Hopefully our score in the Tidy Towns competition will reflect our efforts.



The association is developing a Mindfulness Walk in Ballard wood under the NeighbourWood scheme. The location is excellent; it is close to Laragh village and will have wheelchair access. Our community and its many visitors will be able to avail of this new facility once it is complete.


Garden Competition

The judging in the garden competition is ongoing. Country Life, Ashford is kindly sponsoring the prizes this year. Winners will be announced in the near future.


Glendalough Country Market & Car Boot Sales  

Recycle and Re-use locally. Encouraging local and non-local producers of plants, vegetables, crafts etc. Our next event will be on Sun, 8th of Sept(2nd Sun of the month), open from 10am to 4pm. Bargains on practically anything from household items to garden additions, and even vintage or antique treasures. We are also delighted to be hosting talented French artist Garnier Annick in the Willow Room. Vans must be booked in. Please pre-book indoor spaces early. Brockagh Resource Centre Regular Events

All our regular classes are resuming in September. Elevation Dance and Elevation Drama return on Wednesday 11th & new Mon classes start on 16th Sept, Irish dancing is back on Saturday 14th while badminton classes for juniors and seniors recommence on Monday 16th and Thursday 19th September. Yoga with Viva will also be returning in September. Almha Roche’s art classes for children start back on Monday September 9th while her classes for adults, which have now moved to a Monday, resume on September 16th . Louise’s Morn Yoga resumes on Thursday, September 5th,  Viva evening Yoga on Tues Sept 10th and Pilates classes start up again on Monday September 2nd and Thursday September 5th . On Tuesday September 17th we welcome back both the Active Retired members and our Happy Days Carer and Toddler Group. Taekwon-Do for all ages, the Monday Walking Group, AA meetings, Citizens Information clinics and computer training have all continued throughout the summer months. Declan will be back at the Brockagh Resource Centre Laragh on the 2nd of Sept. Learn to dance the quick and easy way.  If you’re fed up sitting when you go to a dance, I’ll keep it simple! Walking  group in the Brockagh

On Monday mornings weekly at 10am join the Laragh walking group at the Brockagh Resource Centre for a walk around Glendalough area for approximately one hour.


Citizen’s Information Clinic

The Citizens Information Centre at the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh is open for information relating to your rights and entitlements from 10 am until noon on the first and third Tuesday of each month. No appointment is necessary for this free and confidential service.


Co Wicklow PPN Training Fair 2019
The Training Fair held  on Saturday 21st Sept in The Brockagh Centre, Laragh. Morning workshops include Funding your Group,Getting the most out of social media, Charitable Status and the Governance Code, Running Effective Meetings, Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Community. Afternoon Workshops include GDPr, Good Governance (where to start), spotlight on PPN member group, Health and Safety for your Group, Attracting Volunteers.
