Rose of Tralee escort JJ O’Byrne from Arklow along with Martin Power launched the Wicklow Hospice Foundation “Dip in the Nip” last week in Brittas Bay.
Speaking at the launch JJ said “We are looking for a hundred men to raise €100 in aid of the Hospice, and it doesn’t have to stop at a hundred, the more the merrier. It is a fun event but for a very serious cause.
It is wonderful to think in only a few months only up the road from here in Brittas Bay the Hospice will be opening its doors.
It has taken 10 years to get to this stage but it is nearly over the line and remember fund raising won’t stop as funds will be needed for the upkeep of the Hospice.
I’m calling on all men from Wicklow and beyond to get to Brittas Bay on the 15th of September and have your “Dip in the Nip”.”
