Badminton Club

We are hosting an Open night in Annacurra Community Hall on Wednesday 18th September from 7.30 pm. If you have any interest in playing badminton for fun and fitness please come along.. Refreshments will be provided afterwards. Beginners most welcome! Rackets to borrow will be available on the night.

East Coast Night Truck Run

A night truck run will be held on Saturday 5th of October at 7pm.

This run is a fundraiser for Lauralynn Children’s Hospice .

Registration is from 3pm in the Community Field, Aughrim.

The run will leave the Community Field at 7pm sharp and will go through the village, then proceed to Arklow, Gorey, Carnew and back to Aughrim.

This is for a very good cause and we hope people will come out to see the trucks and donate to the bucket collection. There may be some traffic delays while truck run is going through and parking restrictions will also be in place between 6.30pm and 7.30 pm. There may be some parking restrictions on the Rednagh Road during the afternoon.

A raffle will be held in O’Toole’s Pub on the night of the run. Tickets for the raffle are available in Byrne’s  Londis, in the field on the day of the run, in O’Toole’s pub on the night or by contacting Denis Newsome on 087 2387216.

Annacurra Bowls Club

Annacurra Indoor Bowls Club  commence Bowls for the 2019 / 2020 season on Sunday evening 22nd September at 7pm.

Our AGM will take place Sunday 29th during the Tea Break.

Community Games

Athletics training is back for the new year 2019-2020. It begins on Monday 23rd September at 7pm. Admission is €2 per person. All children welcome of school going age . Adults too for our Athletics Ireland group.

As always we need volunteers to help coach supervise and to support our club and keep it going.

For health and safety and child protection reasons we ask parents to stay within the vicinity of Aughrim sports field and complex during training.

Looking forward to seeing old members back and new people join.

Whist Drive

Whist drive on in Annacurra Community Hall on next Saturday night   September 21 starting at 9pm

GAA

Congratulations to the camogie club on running a very enjoyable and successful day in the field last Sunday. Well don to everyone involved.

Well done to the intermediate footballers too. They had a very good win on Sunday against Stratford, thus guaranteeing intermediate football again next year.
