Sheep Show

The 52nd Annual Aughrim Sheep Show and Sale will take place in Carnew Mart on Friday 6th September at 9am.  Entries forms available from Alan Kinsella 087 2792157, and the Mart Office. The day will be rounded off with a Presentation Cabaret on the night in O’ Toole’s, Aughrim at 9pm.


Tai Chi & Qi Gong Classes
Learn gentle flowing healing movements that relieve stress, improve flexibility and mobility.  Tai Chi & Qi Gong Classes are commencing on Wednesday evening September 4th. from 7 – 8 pm at Aughrim Sports & Leisure Complex. The numbers: 2, 4, 9, and 12 were  drawn in this week’s Aughrim Sports club lotto August 26th. The jackpot was won by Peggy Carroll.  Match three winner were: Anne Newsome c/o Bobby, Kyle Keegan, Catriona Leeson, Emily Byrne, and Michael Stapleton.   The jackpot is €1500.  The weekly lotto supports Aughrim Camogie Club, Aughrim GAA club, Aughrim Rangers Soccer club and Aughrim sports complex. People who support the weekly lotto are lending support to the local sports clubs who are very much part of the community.


GAA News

Our adult hurlers lost out by a goal in an absolute thriller in Ballinakill last Wednesday night against Bray in the Junior Hurling Championship .We now play Eire Og next Saturday evening in the semi final of the Junior B hurling championship .Please come along and support.  Congrats to Aughrim Juvenile player James Lambert who took first place in the All Ireland tin whistle under 12 competition and second in the All Ireland under 12.button accordion. James is also an accomplished hurler and footballer with Aughrim Juveniles.

Yoga Classes
