Fundraiser Table Quiz
Please support the upcoming fundraising Table Quiz for the Colaiste Bhride Student Concert Band’s trip to France. The quiz will take place in The Little Moon Coolboy on Friday 4th October at 8.30pm. Cost for adults €10 and €5 for students. There will also be a raffle on the night.
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Betty Brennan, Main Street, Carnew Nee Brennan, Rathfarnham who died during the week and was buried on Tuesday in Tomacork cemetery.
To the family and relatives of Mick Doyle, Main Street, Carnew and formerly of Ballynultagh, who died during the week and was buried on Wednesday in Tomacork cemetery.
Congratulations to Darragh Kelly, Knockananna and Becky Kavanagh, Motabower who were married on Thursday.
The annual coffee morning for Venie and Clare will be held on Thursday 3rd October from 9am -2pm in St Bridget’s Hall, Carnew in aid of Arklow Cancer Support group and Gorey Hospital, all welcome and bring a friend.
Coolboy Community field will hold their AGM on Sunday 20th October at 7pm in the parish hall, all welcome.
Congratulations to our Intermediate hurlers who won their final against Barndarrig last week, to the u13 footballers who won their final in Ballinakill.
Carnew annual ploughing match will be held on Saturday 12th October in Coolboy on lands kindly sponsored by Kevin Doran, to enter contact Kevin on 0876732437.
There will be a cookery demonstration in aid of St Aidan’s Services by Michelen star chef Derry Clarke at Seafield Hotel, Gorey on Thursday 10th October at 8pm. Derry will be joined by local head chefs Ramen Kumar of Seafield. Val Murphy on the Ashdown. William Miller of the Amber Springs. Enter a draw to sit at the testing table for the dishes cooked on the night. Raffle prizes include dinner for 2 in Derry’s L’Ecrivan Restaurant. Meal for 2 in the Rowan Tree Restaurant in the Ashdown. Dinner for 2 in the Seafield. A luxury hamper. Tickets €20 available from St Aidan’s Milllands, the “First wives club actors and actresses. Quinn property, Gorey and committee members.

October 6: Kaideen. Level B, 10 km, 3 hrs. Meet Tinahely 10 am or Michel Dwyer car park 10.30 am.

October 13thRailway Walk/Tomnafinnoge. Level C, 10 km, 3.5 hrs. Meet Railway car park Tinahely 11 am.

The lucky winner of €279 in our Split the Pot draw for Scoil  Aodan Naofa Carnew was Tommy Doyle. Congratulations. Ballyellis NS – Split the Pot

Winner of “Split the Pot” on Friday 27th  September  2019    is Pádraig Cooper, Ballyconran –   winning €167.   We thank everyone for supporting “Split the Pot”. Envelopes can be obtained from the School or any Parent and from Ashling Walsh after Sunday  Mass in Askamore Church.. Draws will take place every Friday morning in Ballyellis School. Many thanks for your continued support.

The next Bingo in St Bridget’s Hall, Carnew is on Sunday 6th and 20th October, all monies raised will go towards the hall renovation fund, thanks to everyone for their support to date it is greatly appreciated.
