Budding and existing entrepreneurs throughout Wicklow are invited to avail of the wide range of supports provided by the Wicklow Local Enterprise Office (LEO).
The LEO courses are designed specifically for new and existing small businesses so whether someone is interested in a “Starting Your Own Business” course or want to develop new skills in order to expand, there is something suitable for everyone.

Start Your Own Business Course
Experienced trainers will give participants the tools to assess the viability of their business idea. This course will assist people in understanding the essential elements required to start up and run their own businesses.
Topics to be covered include: Self-Assessment, Preparing a Business Plan, Researching the Market, Sources of Funding, Sales, Legal Issues, Marketing for the Small Business, Finance, Basic bookkeeping, Using IT and Social Media in your Business.

Do you need to Access Finance for your Business?
At this workshop an experienced trainer will give general information on the types of finance available to small businesses, such as Microfinance Ireland and the mainstream banks and credit unions, along with other types of financing such as leasing, invoice discounting, private investment, grants, business angels, crowd funding etc.

The training courses are subsidised, making them affordable for everyone. Group sizes are small and courses are practical and geared specifically towards owners and employees of small businesses, providing them with skills and knowledge which can be put to immediate use.
