The senior football championship between Arklow Geraldines/Ballymoney and Blessington will go to a replay despite going to penalties this evening in Aughrim.
In a dramatic encounter the sides were level at full-time AGB 0-15, Blessington 1-12 with Blessington scoring in the dying seconds to bring the game to extra-time.
However extra-time failed to separate the sides after the final whistle AGB 0-20, Blessington 2-14.
The game went to penalties where once again the sides could not be separated after 5 penalties each the teams were once again level at 4-4. GAA county chairman Martin Fitzgerald called a halt to the proceedings rather than the teams going to sudden death.
The tie will be replayed, no date has been set of yet, but it will be most likely next weekend as the County final has been set for Sunday the 13th of October.
