Wicklow included in Status Yellow – Thunder warning

Wicklow has been included in a Status Yellow Thunder Warning by MET Eireann.

The warning is valid until 3am on Sunday morning.

Parts of Wexford, Kilkenny and Carlow are without power following lighting strikes earlier today.

Forecast for this evening localised thunderstorms are expected for a time tonight which will bring short duration heavy rainfall and the risk of spot flooding.
