On Friday the 13th of September, local yoga studio owner and teacher, Liz Richards, welcomed Indian Ambassador Sandeep Kumar to officially open her newly expanded Ananta Yoga Studios and Ayurveda Therapy Room at 5, Wentworth Place in Wicklow Town.
Explaining that one of the meanings of the word Yoga is to unite and is a means to “connect in every possible way the inner being with the outer environment and the mind, body and soul”, Ambassador Kumar commented that yoga also connects people and communities.
Already known for her high standards of instruction and extensive offerings of excellent classes, courses, workshops and trainings, Liz’s recent addition of a dedicated therapy room now provides the complimentary benefits of Indian Ayurveda and Marma Therapy together with Chinese Acupuncture to fully support health, longevity and mental peace through holistic practices and therapies.
Fully recognised by the World Health Organisation, Ayurveda, meaning “knowledge of life”, is often referred to as the sister science of yoga. It is an ancient form of natural health care that works with a person’s individual makeup and lifestyle to address imbalances that can be responsible for many common ailments such as asthma, chronic fatigue, depression, eczema, sleep disorders and infertility problems to name but a few.
