Community Games

Athletics training continues every Monday at 7pm in the Aughrim community sports field and complex. All Children welcome from school going age and upwards. 

Yoga with Yvonne

Yoga classes with Yvonne continue in Aughrim community sports complex every Monday morning at 9.30-10.40 and Wednesday evenings at 8-9.15pm.   A New 6 week course commences for Wednesday night class on October 23rd. €60 for 6 week course or €13 drop in rate.   No classes on Monday October 28th & Wednesday October 30th.  Text/call 0876778733 to book or for more details. Race Nite

Aughrim GAA Race Nite has been put back to November 2nd in Paddy’s Lounge. Race cards and horses are available from all committee members .Please support this annual fundraiser for the club so that we can provide for our adult and juvenile players.

Tai Chi & Qi Gong Classes

Learn gentle flowing healing movements that relieve stress, improve flexibility and mobility.  Tai Chi & Qi Gong Classes are commencing on Wednesday evening September 4th. from 7 – 8 pm at Aughrim Sports & Leisure Complex. Blessing and unveiling of Cross

The blessing and unveiling of the memorial cross to honour the Year of the Family and the visit of Pope Francis to Ireland takes place on Sunday October 20th at the location of the cross on “Jim’s Way” Aughrim at 12.30. Please note no parking of cars at the cross. Those attending should park at the community field and make their way to the cross by foot or avail of shuttle bus provided .Cup of tea afterwards for all in Sports Complex at community field. All are welcome.

Active Retirement

Oklahoma is on in the N. C. H. on Saturday, November 16th. The cost will be approximately €50 for tickets and Bus. Money needs to be paid by mid. October, Please. Senior Times Show is on in the R.D.S., on 15/ 16/17 October. Anyone who would like to attend are more than welcome. Line Dancing is on in the Parish Hall on Fridays 11 – 12noon. Monday morning walks continue at 10.30am  with coffee and a chat afterwards. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Lotto

The numbers: 2, 9, 24 and 25 were drawn in this week’s Aughrim Sports club lotto October 7th.  The jackpot was not won.  Match three winners were: Sean O’Shea and Jacinta O’Brien.  The jackpot is €2400.  The weekly lotto supports Aughrim Camogie Club, Aughrim GAA club, Aughrim Rangers Soccer club and Aughrim sports complex. People who support the weekly lotto are lending support to the local sports clubs who are very much part of the community.

Town & Country Market

A warm welcome to all at Aughrim Town & Country Market, Rednagh Road, every Saturday from 10am-2pm. Enjoy the buzz in the Pavilion Cafe as you catch up with friends over coffee and treats. Delicious brunches and light lunches are also on offer.  Fresh local produce available, including organic fruit and vegetables, locally produced meat, eggs, preserves and fresh home baked bread and cakes.
