Bray 1-19 Glenealy 1-09
Bray Emmets have been crowned Senior Hurling Champions after beating Glenealy in Aughrim this afternoon.
Glenealy were looking for their 3-in-a-row but came up short against a youthful Bray side, Bray last lifted the championship in 2016 when they achieved a 3-in-a-row.
The north Wicklow side took a 9 point lead into the break after Padraig Doyle scored a goal just before the half-time whistle.
The teams went in with Bray leading 1-11 to 0-5.
Glenealy scored 1-2 in the opening minutes of the second half and it looked like the fight back was on, but Bray stepped up a gear and took their 4th championship in 6 years.
County Chairman Martin Fitzgerald and Paudi Reidy along with his daughters Cladine and Lauren-Beth of Lightning Protection Ireland presented Bray captain Marc Lennon with the championship trophy, while Bray’s John Henderson picked up the “Man of the Match Award”.
